Trust Your Hands Enough to Begin Again
Welcome to Sunday Shorts,
Lessons on shooting, psychology, and showing up - in as few words as possible.
This week's edition is brought to you by:
the audacity to believe someone is going to buy this space one day.
Enjoy :)
It objectively sucks to fail.
Glad we can all agree on it.
It makes us feel urgent - in the worst way.
To stop.
To shout.
To quit.
And that's because our body & biology will never understand what failure really means in the moment.
We just feel fear. An urgency toward safety.
But lucky for us, we're no longer in primal earth-level danger -- and failing at just about anything these days is beautifully impermanent.
In fact, many of us have learned to use failure as both the fire and the iron that sharpens us. And we have most certainly been burned.
Feel it. And then keep it moving.
So when you understand that the feeling after failure is always the same -- as terrible as it may be... it is unchanging. Permanent. It will always suck.
But emotions are fleeting.
They come. They go.
So whatever you feel after you fail,
Feel it. And then keep it moving.
Because it's less about whether you'll fail again -- that is inevitable.
It is whether you trust your hands enough to begin again.
I’m in your corner—reach out if you need me. :)
