Persist
You've heard this word before - from literally anyone who has earned any real achievement:
"Grit."
The dictionary would define it as "courage and resolve; strength of character".
I'll write it as: the uncanny ability to keep climbing on, without a promise or a certainty.
It's looking at the hard stuff and smiling like a psychopath because you wouldn't be here if you weren't built for it.
And your ability to move through it, this is what will write your story.
The contrast.
The good stuff is great.
But your struggle is what you will share during your celebration toast.
We are wired to root for those who overcome, and even more so for the ones who are willing to do it in public.
Whatever you're after, remember that you are the explorer of it.
This is an expedition.
One that only you can lead.
And when you're in the place where the river runs out, you either turn around...
Or you get out and keep climbing.
Persist.
