On adaptability as the price

Today is Day 1511 of building a basketball business out of a suitcase...

and the first day I've had real room to reflect on how insane that sentence is.

I'm INSANE.

That's insane.

But when you're inside of Plan "A", you can't afford to realize the insanity of it all.

"The unrealisticness."

You can't entertain the "what ifs."

You make a choice because you know it is deeply rooted in your dreams, and you pay the price that greatness demands:

ULTIMATE adaptability.

Adaptability has become my superpower.

I am a chameleon in any space or situation I'm in.

Delayed flight?

Bet.

Good time to sit down and relax for a second.

Plans didn't work out?

Cool.

I bet a different adventure awaits.

In a new place with people I don't know?

Amazing.

A great opportunity to make some strangers feel warmth at a time that can often feel cold.

I practice being blissfully alone in a room full of other people, and when I'm at my best...

I am the most malleable human being on this earth.

I saw a quote the other day that said something like:

"It's becoming increasingly certain to me that 99% of success is being willing to sit in discomfort for large amounts of time."

I think I've practiced being adaptable so much that I've renamed discomfort in my head.

Just another interesting day. :)

I'm moving to Austin, TX.

Starting with a 6-week academy this Fall...

Then buying a gym in December.

Gonna be open in Spring 2027.

(Hence the reflection on how insane the last five years have been LOL.)
