It’s finally here.

I’m ready to share that secret.

A few weeks ago, I put out a newsletter foreshadowing that something big was coming.
And that something is here.

But I wouldn’t do you all justice if I just outright told you what that something is without telling you the full story.

Sometimes, things just fall into place.
In this case, that’s… sort of what happened.

When the Dream Job Isn’t the Dream Anymore

Two years ago, I quit what I thought was my dream job.
I was coaching college basketball as a grad assistant at my alma mater… and after 6 joyless months, I knew it wasn’t for me.

Did I know what was next?
LOL. Absolutely not.

But my gut—my mom’s gut passed down to me, the good one—was screaming.
My heart, my mind, my health. All of them in agreement:

This wasn’t it.

So I moved across the country to take a new dream job: full-time trainer in Arizona.
It came with a huge opportunity: designing a training app for the gym.

UI, curriculum, video production, editing… all of it.
Hundreds of hours, dozens of athletes, backend meetings…

And then the whole thing got shut down.

Not because it wasn’t good.
But because training apps always miss the same thing:
feedback.

Instagram is free.
We couldn’t justify a developer’s salary.
The project ended.

When the Bottom Falls Out… Again

Fast forward 18 months.
My second dream job dissolved.
That night, I sat outside in 111-degree heat at 11 PM wondering:

What now?

My world flipped.
My gut said:

Bet on yourself.

So I did.
That night, Shooters Shoot was born.

The next 7 months were nothing but grind—web design, shooting study, 16-hour days, no shortcuts.

I gave myself one year to find out if I could actually do this.

And you all know… it worked.

Barely.
$250 → $9 → –$34 → back up → back down.
Every week was a rollercoaster of survival.

But when you want something badly enough, the universe conspires.

So I started writing.
Posting.
Networking.
I got a 9–5 to stabilize myself.

My Intensives started taking off.
My brand started growing.
And beneath all of it…

Something was building.

The Random Moment That Changed Everything

In May, a friend mentioned a guy she trained with—someone building an app called Boosta.
She didn’t know much.
But she knew the training app world.
And she said:

“You should check it out.”

I did.

After 27 seconds of scrolling I said:

“NO. FREAKING. WAY.”

Boosta had solved the biggest missing piece in training apps:

A real feedback loop.
Nothing like it exists.

It felt like the universe Spartan-kicked me.

So I sent a cold DM.

One “probably nothing” meeting later… everything changed.

When the Movie Plot Writes Itself

Shelby—the guy I messaged, turns out is the basketball lead.
Motivated. Sharp. A hooper.

We Zoomed.
The vibe was instant.

This was not an app.
This was a mission.
Their ethos?
Human connection through sport.

A digital space where:

• Athletes get real mentorship

• Coaches provide real feedback

• Skill meets emotional growth

• Access is no longer limited by geography or time

It aligned perfectly with everything I built Shooters Shoot upon.

Then Came LA

Last week, I flew to LA to meet Shelby, Tim, and Robbie—the team behind Boosta.
We trained.
We talked.
We dreamed big.

I walked away knowing:

We found each other exactly when we needed to.

And on the night of my 30th birthday, I can finally say:
